Sorting collected items for recovery depends solely on the efforts of our donors and volunteers. Without your help, InterVol would not be able to prepare the supplies for shipment. Millions of dollars of badly needed medical supplies and equipment might be destroyed, instead of helping those we serve.
Sorting Parties
Sorting parties are held at the InterVol warehouse the first and third Tuesday of every month from 6-8pm (pizza is always provided!). Volunteers of all ages work together to organize the materials brought in each week. Volunteers often work together as a family or a group, sorting the supplies by item into over 200 categories. As each box is filled, a nurse verifies the contents of the box before taping it up and adding it to our inventory. The inventory system allows us to easily match materials with shipping requests.
Please call (585) 922-5276, or email rums@intervol.org, if you are interested in volunteering at the warehouse or scheduling a sorting party for your group or organization.
“It has been an awesome experience and one that we hope will have lifetime benefits. We appreciate the time and attention that you gave our young people with hopes that we may continue this partnership.”
-Nancy Wunder, Our Lady of Mercy High School
