For the second time in as many years, the Ukrainian Community of Rochester, NY, successfully shipped medical supplies to the war-torn region of eastern Ukraine. Volunteers from ROC Maidan and the Ukrainian Cultural Center of Rochester, with the help of InterVol and an anonymous donor, managed to sort and ship eight pallets of medical supplies and equipment collected by InterVol from local hospitals.
Less than a year ago, InterVol was able to ship a 40-foot container of aid to assist refugees, wounded soldiers, and women and children in need of medical treatment. In addition to medical supplies, equipment like hospital beds, mattresses, wheelchairs, and various surgical instruments were also shipped.
